Though Avalik is elemental, it is also a realistic roleplay site. That means no characters falling in love at first site, or random outbursts of meaningless violence. Everything has a reason. 2. This site is for semi-literates and above. You don’t have to be a god at roleplaying, but we suggest you be able to spell out all your words (i.e. No ‘u’s, ‘w/’s, ‘&’s, ‘ppl’, ect.), you capitalize where capitalization is needed, you post in full sentences, and you don’t use asterisk (*) to indicate motion. 3. Absolutely no godmoding or powerplaying. If you don’t know what this is, you shouldn’t be here. 4. For your usernames/display names, please put something sensible. No meaningless numbers, spaces, or underscores. 5. You are allowed to swear, just try not to do it excessively, or abuse this right. It can easily be taken away if I see to much nasty language about the boards. 6. For the love of all that is good, no mary sues, desperates, ect. Don’t expect to jump into the site and have a high rank, a mate, and a fine life in the first day. As stated in the first rule, this is a realistic roleplay site. Every wolf starts out rough, and every wolf has his or her strengths and weaknesses. 7. Though this site has no age restriction, you are subject to graphic violence, equally graphic mating scenes, swearing, and other obscenities. We trust you will turn us down if you think your guardians would disapprove, because we will take no responsibility for any trouble you get in. 8. You account will be deleted without warning after two months of inactivity. If you don’t post within the first two weeks of signing up, you are also automatically deleted. 9. Please don’t have OOC conversations in the roleplay threads. Even if it is in brackets, you are still bumping down posts. If you want to discuss something, accompany it with a nice post, or move it to the OOC boards. 10. Keep your IC posts to a minimum of 4 good sentences. 11. Wolves do not come from the middle ages. I don’t want your wolf using “Sire” or “M’lady”, or some other odd Old English greeting when they talk. 12. Don’t abuse your punctuation. We don’t want to see people posting every word with a ‘ after or before it. (i.e. ‘Er paws tread ‘pon the soft snow as she raised ‘er maw to the skies.) 13. Make sure you carefully follow all of the rules. Not just these basic ones, but the ones for specific areas of the roleplay, too. Avalik is an organized, proper roleplaying site, and we don’t want someone messing that up for us, do we? 14. If it’s the middle of August, don’t start a thread talking about below-freezing temperatures and feet of snow. And if thunderstorms are in the Avalik forecast, don’t ramble on about the wonderful sunny day. We will update the forecast and seasons when they change. Follow it. 15. Though your wolf is allowed to have elements, no funky jewelry or clothing. And no completely random colors, either.
