It was the middle of the night, on the night on a new moon. The night was shrouded in darkness, but yet Apollo was up and about, though he knew not why. All that he knew was that he was here, and he somehow pressed on among the lands, exploring every inch. He wandered onto the abandoned Indian camp silently, following the flickering of some kind of warm, bright orange light. There before him was a fire, one that was massive. Confusedly he blinked, he had known this camp to be abandoned. And it was; he looked around to see nothing, like before, except the remainders of the human presence. Who had started the fire? Though his mind was wary, curiosity took over as he walked closer, slowly, ever so slowly. The fire danced, roared as he came closer, as he watched the dancing yellows, oranges, and blues of the flame. Soon the flames took shapes within them, a pack of wolves, all frolicking and running back and forth, playing. Among them was himself. But as he looked closer, the image changed. The entire fire flamed up to be ten feet tall, and it roared even louder as it took the shape of an immense wolf. Apollo stepped back fearfully, tripping over his own feet as the fire-wolf's teeth bared in a cruel laugh. "Apollo.." it whispered, and stepped forward. Soon he was surrounded by a circle of fire as the fiery wolven took the size of a normal wolf, but still larger than he, steppping forward from the flames. It seemed that he was made entirely from shadow now, eyes bloodred, and his mouth twisted in a cruel sneer. Apollo knew who this was, though he had never before seen him in his life. This was a shadow wolven, a god. The god of death and chaos, the one who had visited him so many times in his lifetime. The one who had chasd him since the day he was born; his father. Apollo shrunk back. "What do you want from me??" he demanded, baring his teeth as his ears shot back and the fur on his neck bristled. His moon was glowing bloodred from anger. The god chuckled, in its deep voice. "You know what I want, what I seek," he replied simply, and Apollo growled. "To destroy my life? To destroy everything that I've ever cared about?" he demanded. Chaos chuckled again. "Though that does sound like fun, no." He stepped forward. "My son, you know what I want, and you know it full well. If you were to take your proper place, by my side, then I would not torment you so." Apollo snarled. "Never," he spat. The bloodred eyes flashed, and he felt jaws around his neck. He choked. "Either you join me or you die," he heard the cruel voice in his mind. "There is no in between," he added cruelly. "I have the power to resist you, FATHER," he spoke the last word bitterly, and let power, sheer light power flow from the wound he had caused. Chaos yelped, letting go, and stepping back. The fire vanished, and his eyes flashed. "You WILL join me!" he snarled. "Either that, or your little friends will die!" Their faces appeared before him one by one, and Chaos howled, lightning striking down from the heavens, and a blinding white light flashed before his eyes, so that Apollo whimpered an closed them.. He opened his eyes with a start, breathing as heavily as if he had run a mile. He was gone.. it was a dream. There was an immene pain in his neck, and he ran to the lake, looking at his reflection. His neck was dripping blood from two gashes. The suddenly sharp scent of blood cought her of guard, however, and her ears swiveled forward, eyes suddenly gleaming with an alertness to find the source. As she feared, it came mingled with the other, more familiar scent, of another wolven; of Apollo, as she could make out through the trees. That abnormal mark on his forehead gave everything away. Vivid emerald eyes took in her visage silently, and he looked to the ground. "Please, don't think any worse of me because of this.." he trailed off, and met her gaze. "And I'd appreciate it if none but you know this. I'm already not trusted everywhere.." he hesitated. "But I trust you. You took me in, a total stranger, and you have proved to be a friend." He grimaced, sitting down. He explained his entire dream in soft tones without mentioning that the wolven was his father, nor that he was Chaos. "My mother was a lone fae, up till she became pregnant with me. She already had my brothers and sisters.. I never knew who my father was till just before she died. My father is the god Chaos.. and because I am a god-child, I was the only one of my litter to survive." Apollo let out a breath, and looked up to see Zenny's expression, or reaction. She certianly did have to get use to the unusual lifestyles of the strange wolves around her. "Oh, that's dreadful!" She said, quite mournfully; she didn't want to imagine growing up without any siblings. Zenny had had quite the respective and full family growing up, so she never tasted those harsh realities that exsisted in the world. "But, for the record, it does not change the way I look at you, and if you want this to be a secret, it will never leave my lips. You have my word." "Thank you," he replied softly, but he hesitated. "But, as you can see, I've got to be on my way," he replied dully, regrettedly. He wasn't going to hurt yet another pack. He was proving such a loyal and wonderful member to the pack, and he was just going to...leave? Shaking her head in sudden protest, Zenny stomped her paw firmly into the ground, ears locking forward and tail shooting up in a position that symbolised her determination. "Well, of course you're not going! I've accepted you into these lands, and you're part of the Avalik wolves; no amount of danger or elemental power could change that. You have to know we all have your back, and could easily defend ourselves if the time came, and are looking out for you as well.." She turned to the horizon slightly, knowing she really couldn't make up his mind for him. But it was worth a try to convince him. "Out there, you're alone. Here, you have us, right? He got it under control, and it turned white again. "You would honestly take me in if it meant certain danger for your pack?" he asked, quirking a brow. "I know you mean to sound nice, to sound welcoming, but when it comes down to it, do you value your life, and the lives of your mate and pack members? Would you let them all die for just one wolf whose fate of solitary existance has already been chosen for him from his very birth?" Not particularly hungry or tired, she was taking the chance to further familerize herself with the packlands. Emerging out of the trees she noticed two wolves standing near the lake, and picked up the un-settling scent of wolf blood. Worried that there had been a fight, she trotted up to stand next to the alpha. Noting that her position was in no was hostile, Almira turned to the male. "Apollo!" she exclaimed, seeing the gashes on his face. "Are you allright?" He was being excessively rude, and it was his fault alone. He walked towards her, quicker than her slow pace, and stood in front of her, shame-faced, head drooping. "I'm sorry," he repied quietly, shaking his head. "You have a right to know, since you know about him.." the 'Him' remained unidentifyed, but he knew she would get who it was. "He visited me in a dream.. and he did this," he replied simply, brushing his neck gently with a paw, and he winced for the first time. It was throbbing painfully, and bleeding freely, but he could not reach it, it being so close to his face. He let out almost a whimper as he turned his head, trying to reach it with his tongue, only reaching it a few times. He looked to Almira, aware that she was watching, and blushed, straightening up in his sitting position despite the pain that still throbbed. It was so embarassing.. Watching as he tried to clean it, she reached foward without thinking and did it for him. Blushing as she realized what she was doing, she backed away and looked at the ground.
